A dedicated emergency physician, Dr. Betz is the Medical Director of the Emergency Center at Dignity Health Arizona General Hospital.

The Emergency Center at Dignity Health Arizona General Hospital is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Their ER team will provide treatment to patients with a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries that require immediate medical attention.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Betz graduated with his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine at Tucson in 2006. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the Creighton University School of Medicine in 2009.

Passionate about his profession, the doctor is board-certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM). The ABEM is one of 24 medical specialty certification boards recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Emergency medicine, also known as accident and emergency medicine, is the medical specialty concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. An emergency physician works in an emergency department to care for acutely ill or injured patients on an unscheduled basis.

Among his various accolades, Dr. Betz has been the recipient of the Patients' Choice Award (2015), and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2015).
