An exceptional internist, Dr. Delafield welcomes patients at her private practice in Los Angeles, California. Prior to her private practice, she held many leadership roles including Chief of the Division of General Internal Medicine at the West Los Angeles Veteran Affairs Medical Center. She is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
Academically, she received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and her Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) in Microbiology from UCLA. She earned her medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez in Mexico, before participating in a residency in pathology and completing a residency in internal medicine at the West Los Angeles Veteran Affairs (VA) Medical Center. She also completed a Kennamer Fellowship in internal medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), the doctor is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
