In 2006, Dr. Charles E. Mangum, MD, MBA, FACP, founded North Texas Pathology Associates (NTPA) with a vision to deliver high-quality anatomic and clinical pathology services to Lake Pointe Medical Center and the physicians serving the community of Rowlett, Texas. Since its inception, NTPA has expanded to meet the evolving healthcare needs of the region, establishing contracts with additional hospitals, surgery centers, and private practices.
Under Dr. Mangum's leadership, NTPA has grown significantly, attracting a diverse group of pathologists with specialized training to ensure comprehensive pathology services. In 2013, recognizing the specific needs of east Texas, Dr. Mangum established Nacogdoches Pathology to further extend the reach of quality pathology services. A distinguished leader in his field, Dr. Mangum earned his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1991. He completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology, followed by a fellowship in surgical pathology, at the same institution in 1996. His commitment to excellence continued with the completion of a Master of Business Administration from Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business in 2005, equipping him with the knowledge to navigate the complex landscape of healthcare management.
As a board certified pathologist in anatomic and clinical pathology, Dr. Mangum is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Pathology and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).
