Dr. Husain is a highly regarded expert in Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Cardiac Disease with nearly 25 years of experience.  

Esteemed physician, Saleem Husain has the training, education, experience and skill to ensure quality care for the complex issues associated with the cardiovascular system. His focus is on the diagnosis, medical management and prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Husain manages patients with a wide range of cardiac issues, including heart attack, coronary artery disease, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, congestive heart failure and peripheral vascular diseases.

Dr. Husain earned his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, the medical school of Rutgers University which is affiliated with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He performed his internship and residency at Temple University Hospital.

He gained a Fellowship at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, a teaching hospital of Drexel University College of Medicine.

As a cardiologist, Dr. Husain is highly experienced and skilled in both invasive and non-invasive cardiology: including cardiac catheterizations,coronary angioplasties, including simple and complex coronary interventions with stent placements.

In addition, Dr. Husain provides treatment and interventions for patients with peripheral arterial disease and peripheral venous diseases.

Dr. Husain is a physician with JFK Medical Associates, a group practice with over 100 physicians covering 17 specialty areas of medicine, part of Hackensack Meridian Health.

He is affiliated with Hackensack Meridian Health JFK Medical Center, as well as several other area hospitals.  Dr. Husain is currently the director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and the Chest Pain Unit at JFK Medical Center.

 The American College of Cardiology has recognized Hackensack Meridian Health JFK Medical Center for its demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients who come to a cardiac cath lab for care, including diagnostic catheterizations and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) procedures. JFK Medical Center was awarded Cardiac Cath Lab Accreditation with PCI in May based on rigorous onsite evaluation of the staff’s ability to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients.

Dr. Husain has received numerous honors and accolades including Top Doctor Award of NJ and the Healthgrades Honor Roll. In addition, he has been quoted in multiple newspapers and publications.
