Dr. Diaz-Rangel is a well-versed oncologist who studies, diagnoses, and treats the tumors caused by cancer. He is affiliated with a number of medical centers and hospitals in Hialeah, Florida. After earning his medical degree from Eastern Central University (Department of Medicine) in the Domenican Republic in 1985, Dr. Diaz-Rangel relocated to the United States. Once there, he served his internship and residency at Trenton Affiliated Hospital in 1987 and 1989, respectively. This was followed by a fellowship at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in New York City, New York in 1992. 

Licensed to practice medicine in Florida and New York, the doctor is board-certified in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
