He is fellowship trained in Adult Reconstruction which is the treatment of patients requiring hip and knee replacement.  He has over 20 years' experience in hip and knee replacement and revision surgery.  Dr. Pollock was born and raised in Winston Salem.  He graduated from Wake Forest University, and Wake Forest School of Medicine.  He then did his Orthopaedic residency at Wake Forest Baptist, just like his father and brother.  He then did a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction in Alexandria Virginia before returning to Winston Salem.  He is married to Dr. Debby Pollock, a family practice physician who also trained at Wake Forest.  He has 3 children who he loves dearly and considers his Legacy.  He loves the Lord God and is thankful for his grace, love, and mercy.

Get to know Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. David C. Pollock, who serves patients in Bermuda Run, North Carolina.

An experienced orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Pollock has over 20 years’ experience in hip and knee replacement and revision surgery. Serving as the Section Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery, he offers his services at Orthopaedics – Davie | Wake Forest Baptist Health (located in Davie Medical Center) in Bermuda Run, North Carolina.

Having worked both in academic and private practice settings, he is currently a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Chief of Adult Reconstruction at Wake Forest School of Medicine.

Born and raised in Winston-Salem, Dr. Pollock graduated from Wake Forest University and Wake Forest School of Medicine. He then did his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, just like his father and brother. He followed this up with a fellowship in adult reconstruction in Alexandria, Virginia before returning to Winston-Salem.  

Before long, he attained board certification in orthopaedic surgery through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.

In order to stay up to date in his field, Dr. Pollock remains an active member of the North Carolina Orthopaedic Association, The Engh Society, the International Society for Technology in Arthroplasty, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Norfolk Southern Association of Physicians, and the American Association of Hip & Knee Surgeons.

Orthopaedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopaedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.

On a more personal note, Dr. Pollock is married to Dr. Debby Pollock, a family practice physician who also trained at Wake Forest. He has 3 children whom he loves dearly and considers his legacy. He loves the Lord God and is thankful for his grace, love, and mercy.
