Get to know Internist Dr. Anna Gorski, who serves patients in West Islip, New York.

As a well-versed internist, Dr. Gorski focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect the adult population—both acute and chronic. She is in practice with West Islip Medical Care PC, and remains affiliated with Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center.

Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center is a 537-bed non-profit teaching hospital located in West Islip, New York. The hospital contains one-hundred nursing home beds, and operates a Level II trauma center. Its mission is to provide the highest quality and compassionate health care and comfort to the whole person – mind, body, and spirit. 

A 1979 graduate of the Medical University of Warsaw, Poland, Dr. Gorski performed her residency in pediatrics at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, followed by her residency in internal medicine at Mary Immaculate Hospital in New York. Dr. Gorski is a United States Citizenship and Immigration Services Designated Civil Surgeon performing medical examinations for green card and citizenship applicants completing the I-693 form and a Medical Review Officer certified in the field of drug and alcohol testing.

With over four decades of experience in her field, she is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA). Recognized as the largest association of physicians—both MDs and DOs—and medical students in the United States, the mission of the AMA is to promote the art and science of medicine and the betterment of public health.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

In addition to English, Dr. Gorski speaks Polish.
