A trusted pediatrician, Dr. Ahmed is the Founder & CEO of Collinsville Pediatrics. He considers it both a great joy and responsibility to care for children.

At Collinsville Pediatrics, the skilled team of Collinsville pediatricians offers comprehensive medical care for infants, children and adolescents. Conveniently located in the heart of Collinsville, the courteous and knowledgeable staff works hard from first contact to make every visit to the office positive.

Back in 1980, Dr. Ahmed graduated with his medical degree from Chattogram Medical College Hospital in Bangladesh. He then relocated to the United States, performing his internship in pediatrics at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York in 1993. He also performed his residency in pediatrics at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in 1995.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, he is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

With over 40 years of experience in pediatrics, Dr. Ahmed is affiliated with Memorial Hospital, Belleville; St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville; Crawford Memorial Hospital; and Anderson Hospital.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.

Among Dr. Ahmed’s various accolades include Patients’ Choice Award (2016, 2015, 2014, 2011, 2010, 2009), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2015, 2014, 2010), and On-Time Doctor Award (2016, 2015, 2014).
