Dr. Abode-Iyamah is an exceptional neurosurgeon widely recognized for his expertise in complex spinal deformity. Practicing at the prestigious Mayo Clinic, he is deeply committed to providing exceptional care to his patients. He currently serves as the Director of Spine and Spinal Deformity, overseeing the diagnosis and treatment of intricate spinal conditions.

Additionally, he acts as the Residency Advising Director for the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, guiding and mentoring aspiring neurosurgeons. He then pursued his medical education at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, and completed a rigorous residency in neurosurgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Later, he concluded his training with a fellowship in complex spine surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in neurosurgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS). The broad aim of the ABNS is to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards and advance the science of neurological surgery and thereby serve the cause of public health.

Prior to joining the esteemed ranks of Mayo Clinic, Dr. Abode-Iyamah served as a Staff Neurosurgeon at Orlando Health. During this time, he made significant contributions to the field by publishing several book chapters and research articles in reputable neurosurgery journals, such as Neurosurgery, Journal of Neurosurgery, World Neurosurgery, and the Journal of Clinical Neuroscience. Furthermore, he actively participated as a peer reviewer for esteemed publications like Clinical Neurology and Neurosurgery and PLOS ONE. Demonstrating his versatility and ingenuity, he currently holds two US Patents.
