Dr. John E. Chicvak DDS

Dr. John Chicvak has over 25 years of experience in Dentistry. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from one of the most prestigious Dental Schools in the country, SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. He completed his General Practice Residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center as Chief Resident and has remained part of the North Shore/LIJ Dental Team as an Attending at Northwell Health Department of Dental Medicine. Dr. Chicvak continues his lifetime love of learning by participating in extensive hours of continuing education programs each year for the benefit of his patients. He is a Graduate of the Dawson Academy for Advanced Dental Study and has over 2000 hours of continuing education credits. Dr. Chicvak has been honored with numerous awards including Master of the Academy of General Dentistry, Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, as well as multiple Distinguished Service Awards from LIJ Medical Center and Northwell Health. He has been honored as one of America's Top Dentists for Consumer Research Council of America consistently since 2007 and has been ranked by his peers as one of New York's Top Dentists since 2012. He is a unique General Dentist that performs dental health care from pediatrics to geriatrics and is often referred to as the ‘Super Generalist’ that can do it all…restorative dentistry, periodontics, endodontics, implantology, oral surgery, sedation dentistry, orthodontics through Invisalign and treatment of sleep apnea with custom oral sleep appliance therapy in addition to all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry. While all of his patients appreciate his gentle touch and charming chairside manner, Dr. Chicvak is DOCS certified for Sedation Dentistry to treat high-fear patients using Oral Conscious Sedation and Nitrous Oxide.
