Dr. Kenneth Hughes is a board certified plastic surgeon who brings to LosAngeles  a level of expertise and sophistication few have ever achieved. He is an expert and author in many plastic surgery procedures. He performs many different procedures including liposuction, liposuction revision, Brazilian buttlift (BBL), butt implant surgery, breast augmentation, breast lift, rhinoplasty and rhinoplasty revision, tummy tuck, mommy makeover, arm lift, thigh lift, body lift, labiaplasty, vaginoplasty, silicone and biopolymer removal and so much more. He performs surgery for 400 patients each year and approximately 1500 procedures for those patients. 

Dr. Hughes is the Medical Director of Hughes Plastic Surgery in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, California. After graduating with honors in Biology from Harvard University, Dr. Hughes earned his medical degree from UAB, where he graduated in the top 5% of his class and scored in the top 1% across the nation on his licensing boards. Thereafter, he was awarded entrance into one of the very selective integrated plastic surgery programs at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where he received 6 years of extensive training in the vast array of general and plastic surgery procedures. He also completed his fellowship training in plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery at Harvard Medical School in 2011.  Only a handful of plastic surgeons, out of the thousands in the United States, have been honored with the Harvard cosmetic fellowship.

Dr. Hughes is board certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The ABPS is an independent, nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.

Dr. Hughes has authored numerous papers and textbook chapters on cosmetic surgery topics, including facial cosmetic surgery, face and neck lifts, rhinoplasty, nose surgery, as well as breast surgery including breast augmentation, breast reconstruction, and facial fat grafting – among others. He has been an invited speaker at regional, national, and international meetings, lecturing on such topics as the use of telemedicine in cosmetic and plastic surgery. In addition, Dr. Hughes is a consultant and lecturer for the Institute for Safety in Office-Based Surgery, a nationally recognized, non-profit, patient safety organization at the forefront of protecting patients during outpatient procedures in plastic surgery.

Plastic surgery is a surgical specialty involving the restoration, reconstruction, or alteration of face and body. A plastic surgeon’s primary responsibility is performing surgical and non-surgical procedures, and they use a variety of reparative and reconstructive techniques to get the job done. On a personal level, Dr. Hughes has been an avid weightlifter and athlete for over 20 years, and he possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in nutrition and exercise regimens.
