Before joining OrthoMaryland, in 2005, Dr. Grant completed an intensive pain medicine fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, where she also earned her medical degree and completed her residency. During her fellowship training, she mastered many leading-edge procedures, including epidural steroid, facet and sacroiliac injections, as well as medial branch blocks and facet radiofrequency.
Aided by her expertise, Dr. Grant has presented at several American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation annual conferences, sharing her research on the use of metabolic measurements in determining nutritional needs in children, work-related lower back injuries, and hip motion control in subjects with prior lower limb musculoskeletal injury. While a member of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, she gave a number of presentations, most notably on whiplash syndrome rehabilitation and gender variations in pain and hip replacement.
Recognized as a Top Doctor in Baltimore Magazine (2009, 2012, 2014, 2015), she is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, which was established in 1947 as the certifying body for the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation under the American Board of Medical Specialties.
Additionally, the doctor is board-certified in pain management by the American Board of Pain Medicine, whose mission is to improve the quality of pain medicine.
