Get to know Pulmonologist Dr. Madhu S. Kollipara, who serves patients in Fort Worth, Texas.

A physician specializing in pulmonary disease and internal medicine, Dr. Kollipara is affiliated with Alliance Pulmonary and Critical Care in Fort Worth, Texas.

Among his other roles, he can be found on staff at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – College Station, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance, and Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville.

Back in 1992, Dr. Kollipara graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from the Jagadguru Jayadeva Murugarajendra Medical College and completed his internship at Allegheny General Hospital/West Pennsylvania Hospital. He then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at the St. Elizabeth Health Center, and his fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine at Louisiana State University. 

A Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), he is board-certified in critical care medicine and pulmonary disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Pulmonology is a medical specialty that deals with diseases involving the respiratory tract. A pulmonologist is an internal medicine physician who specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating conditions and diseases that affect the lungs, bronchial tubes, and the respiratory system, including the nose, pharynx, and throat.

Among his most notable achievements, Dr. Kollipara has been the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award (2013, 2012, 2011, 2009, 2008) and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2013, 2012, 2011).
