Get to know Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Dr. Deborah S. Lipschitz, who serves the population of Fairfield, Connecticut. Deborah S. Lipschitz, MD, is a Psychiatrist with her own practice. Dr. Deborah S. Lipschitz is a highly experienced and respected psychiatrist who has been in practice for more than three decades. Her distinguished career in psychiatry began in 1986 when she graduated with her Medical Degree from the University of Cape Town Faculty of Health Sciences in Cape Town, South Africa. After moving to the United States, Dr. Lipschitz completed a residency and then fellowship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York, before entering private practice. Dr. Lipschitz is dual board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both Psychiatry, and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and it is in this latter field that she has become an internationally renowned expert. Among the many conditions diagnosed and treated by her are Attention Deficit Disorder, anxiety phobic disorders, depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Dr. Lipschitz is a former Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Yale University, and she has become renowned for her patient centric approach to psychiatry as well as for her undoubted expertise in her field. Psychology is the science of behavior and mind, including conscious and unconscious phenomena, as well as feeling and thought. It is an academic discipline of immense scope and diverse interests that, when taken together, seek an understanding of the emergent properties of brains, and all the variety of epiphenomena they manifest.
