Her medical degree was obtained at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1999, after which she completed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Kansas College of Medicine in 2003.
Following her education, she became board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.
