- Kirsten .
His name is Dr. James W Stricker- fantastic surgeon. I had a partial colectomy with a small intestine resection. Best decision I have ever made was to have this surgery. Dr. Stricker is an exceptional surgeon who gave me back my life. I had the surgery in August 2013 at San Francisco Kaiser, great facility with amazing doctors and nurses. Dr.Stricker and his staff took wonderful care of me and made sure I understood and was comfortable with all tests and procedures done during my stay. Before surgery Dr.Stricker made sure I understood the details of my surgery and showed me the X-rays and CT scans of my colon and small intestine. He took time and explained what was involved, what results I could expect and also made sure I understood that sometimes he has to change his initial plans based on what he finds once he opens during the surgery. I felt confident going into surgery with him as my surgeon. After surgery I saw him everyday during my hospital stay, he has a great bedside manner and really listens to his patients concerns. I highly recommend him and if I ever need surgery again I will be going back to him for sure.
