He then went on to complete residencies in internal medicine at the University of Alabama Medical Center and at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in endocrinology at the same educational venue.
A Fellow of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, the doctor is board-certified in endocrinology, diabetes & metabolism, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
