Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. James Nnuro Frimpong, who serves patients in Goshen, Indiana.

Recognized as a devoted obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Frimpong is in practice with Goshen Physicians OB/GYN in Goshen, Indiana. He provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care for women of all ages. 

His research / clinical interests include endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, fibroids, and abnormal uterus. He also has advanced training in minimally invasive procedures for treating women with diseases and disorders of the reproductive system. 

Focusing on treating each patient with compassion, concern and understanding, Dr. Frimpong’s approach to care respects each woman’s experience as unique. He understands that helping women manage their health is a private and sensitive matter, and believes that pregnancy and childbirth are very special events in the lives of women and their families.

In regards to his educational background, Dr. Frimpong graduated with his medical degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology School of Medical Sciences in Ghana. Upon graduation, he relocated to the United States, completing his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C.

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), he is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health. 

With over 20 years experience, Dr. Frimpong most recently practiced in the Chicago metropolitan area with Franciscan Health. He has also held clinical teaching positions and published journal reviews with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties. An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health.

Away from his medical practice, Dr. Frimpong plays soccer and ping pong. He also enjoys current affairs and world politics.
