In regards to his educational background, Dr. Frimpong graduated with his medical degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology School of Medical Sciences in Ghana. Upon graduation, he relocated to the United States, completing his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C.

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), he is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health. 

With over 20 years experience, Dr. Frimpong most recently practiced in the Chicago metropolitan area with Franciscan Health. He has also held clinical teaching positions and published journal reviews with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
