A podiatrist is a doctor of podiatric medicine (DPM) specializing in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of the foot, ankle, and related structures of the leg. Podiatrists treat common foot conditions including bunions, hammertoe, plantar fasciitis, and neuroma, as well as injuries to the foot and ankle, such as sprains and stress fractures. Podiatrists complete four years of medical training in podiatry and three years of hospital residency training; they may specialize in a variety of fields, including surgery, sports medicine, wound care, pediatrics, and diabetic care.
Dr. Bordon treats a variety of pathology, but her special interest in sports medicine. She is a runner and cyclist herself and finds passion in helping people become pain-free. She often tells her patients that her goal is to get them “one-hundred percent pain-free while doing whatever activity they wish to do.” She enjoys treating sports medicine pathology with EPAT (shock wave), which helps to resolve their pain conservatively.
Dr. Bordon is the Medical Director of a weight loss clinic, as well as a scientific advisory board member for Vasayo, a top 50 health care company. She is passionate about the overall health of her patients, and discusses with them whole food nutrition, supplements, stress, sleep patterns, hydration, and exercise, to help them live a “healthier, happier, longer, and pain-free life.”
