For her efforts, she has been honored in the local media as a “Hero Doctor.” Dr. Boone earned her medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University and continued her studies with an internship at Children’s National Medical Center. She went on to complete a residency in pediatrics at Children’s National Medical Center and has been in practice for forty years.
