Get to know Cosmetic Dentist Dr. Steven Andreaus, who serves patients in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Dr. Andreaus is a cosmetic dentist who is currently serving patients’ dental needs at his private practice in Raleigh, North Carolina. There, he and his staff use the latest technology and treatment to provide patients with healthy, attractive, and long-lasting smiles.

A native of Tupelo, Mississippi, Dr. Andreaus earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 1988. While there, he received honors and the first place award for research related to bonding materials from the International Association for Student Clinicians of the American Dental Association. Dr. Andreaus also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology from the North Carolina State University in Raleigh. 

Dr. Andreaus has made a commitment to continuing education. He has been privileged to study with many of dentistry’s finest restorative and aesthetically oriented practitioners both in the United States and abroad. Additionally, Dr. Andreaus is a certified Invisalign® provider. Invisalign is a type of orthodontic treatment that helps to straighten teeth without the use of the typical metal braces.

Dr. Andreaus is an Accredited Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina State Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Raleigh-Wake County Dental Society. In addition, Dr. Andreaus is past President of the International Association for Student Clinicians of the American Dental Association.

Cosmetic dentistry is generally used to refer to any dental work that improves the appearance (though not necessarily the functionality) of teeth, gums, and/or bite. It primarily focuses on improvement in dental aesthetics in color, position, shape, size, alignment, and overall smile appearance. Cosmetic dentists, like Dr. Andreaus, use a variety of methods to improve patients’ smiles, including porcelain veneers, bridges, crowns, fillings, bonding, and whitening techniques.

Other than enjoying what he does as a cosmetic dentist, Dr. Andreaus is also an artist who prefers making raku pottery and painting. His other interests include photography, food, and bicycling.
