About
Tetsuhiro Ueno is nationally licensed and board-certified in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and maintains state license in Virginia. Tetsuhiro graduated as valedictorian of the Master’s Program in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCTCM) in Austin, Texas. Currently, he is in a Doctorate program of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM). He has strong interests in treatments for reproductive and gynecological conditions, insomnia, depression and internal diseases. He is a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), and has over ten years’ experience working as an acupuncturist at an integrated medicine clinic in Arlington, VA collaborating closely with medical doctors and chiropractors. He has also served as a professor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at South Baylo University, School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Falls Church, VA, one of the largest and most prestigious acupuncture schools in the nation.
Prior to receiving his master's degree in acupuncture and oriental medicine, Tetsuhiro earned his BA in Social Science from Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, Japan. After graduating, he worked for ten years at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), a Japanese governmental organization that implements technical cooperation in developing countries around the world.
In addition to running his private practice, Tetsuhiro consults with medical officers at the Embassy of Japan, and carries out lectures for local communities on topics related to Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Tetsuhiro devotes his passion and energy to helping people, and sharing happiness with them. He believes that building a long-lasting and trustful relationship with patients is extremely important for the success of the treatment.
