The William Jennings Bryan Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center provides a full range of patient care services, with state-of-the-art technology, education, and research. Dr. Reid earned his medical degree from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1987. He then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic, followed by his fellowship in rheumatology at the Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Reid is a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP). 

Dr. Reid is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Rheumatology is a branch of medicine devoted to the diagnosis and therapy of rheumatic diseases. Physicians who have undergone formal training in rheumatology are called rheumatologists. Rheumatologists, like Dr. Reid, treat arthritis, autoimmune diseases, pain disorders affecting joints, and osteoporosis.
