Get to know Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Nazy Zomorodian, who serves patients in Los Angeles, California

Ms.Zomorodian is a Nurse Practitioner who serves as the Director of the Genitourinary Clinical Trials Unit for the Department of Urology. Furthermore, she is an Assistant Professor within UCLA Health. During her extensive experience in managing and conducting cancer research,  Ms.Zomorodian has worked in basic research with the urologic and medical oncology principal investigators at UCLA for over 20 years. She is affiliated with Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

Ms. Zomorodian received her Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Science degree in Nursing from the Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is certified by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals as a Clinical Research Coordinator and maintains certification as a Nurse Practitioner in both urology and oncology.

Ms. Zomorodian regularly instructs physicians, fellows, residents and nurses on all aspects of clinical trials for kidney, prostate and bladder cancers. She is a member of the Association of American Urological Nursing and the American College of Nurse Practitioners. An inductee of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, she speaks Persian (Farsi) in addition to English.

Additional Information

Her credentials include her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing received at S. Behest University of Medical Sciences (1994) and a second BSN degree acquired after she relocated to the United States at MCP/Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA (1998). Nazy also holds a Master of Science degree in Nursing acquired in 2001 at MCP/Hahnemann University, as well as a Nurse Practitioner Certification earned at UCLA School of Nursing (2009). She is presently pursuing her PhD degree in Research Nursing at UCLA School of Nursing.
