1 Centurian Dr Suite 303 Newark DE, 19713About
Dr. Tyler Leitzke graduated from the University of Delaware in 2017 receiving a Bachelor of Science in health behavior science and a minor in strength and conditioning before earning his doctorate at University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic in 2021. His understanding of injury prevention and musculoskeletal rehabilitation come through an abundance of diverse opportunities which emanated from both his education and employment experiences. Dr. Leitzke has worked training athletes and individuals, performing corporate health screenings, and in multiple chiropractic offices as an exercise rehabilitation technician and chiropractic assistant.
Besides growing up with the positive influence and exposure to the chiropractic profession with his dad, Dr. Andrew Leitzke, Dr. Tyler Leitzke attributes much of his passion for high quality health care to a volunteer opportunity with a non-profit organization called Lori’s Hands. This organization allowed him to make weekly visits to local community members with a variety of different chronic illnesses. These visits would vary depending on the client but were generally designed to assist these individuals with housework, meal prep, grocery shopping and other household tasks. That experience facilitated a deeper understanding of what it is to live with a chronic illness and in turn fortified his passion for helping people overcome health related challenges to regain control over their own health and wellness while unlocking a higher potential and greater quality of life.
Dr. Leitzke has assisted his patients in the recovery of a variety of neuromusculoskeletal ailments through the application of chiropractic care in combination with different stretching and exercise techniques. His experience includes working with patients dealing with injuries such as ligament sprains, muscle strains, disc herniations, whiplash, neuropathy, radiculopathy, headaches, back pain, neck pain, arthritis, and tendinosis. While many patients present with similar conditions, Dr. Leitzke recognizes the importance of treating every patient as an individual, which requires a specialized and specifically designed treatment approach to best suit every patient’s needs and individual goals of care.
Outside of the office you might catch Dr. Leitzke in the gym, at the beach, on the golf course, or out enjoying a nice meal with family and friends.
