He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at West Suburban Medical Center Program in Oak Park, Illinois, followed by his fellowship in infectious disease at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Following his training, he became board-certified in internal medicine and infectious disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
