With a broad educational background, Dr. Shypula graduated with his medical degree from Wroclaw Medical University in Poland in 1981. He then relocated to the United States, performing his internship and residency in internal medicine at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He then went on to complete his fellowship in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at St. Luke’s /Roosevelt Hospital in New York City.
Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in hematology, medical oncology, and internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
On a professional level, Dr. Shypula is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
