Dr. Sartorio has provided the highest quality dental care by working with patients in the Pittsburgh area since 1987. He has a sincere concern for the well-being of all of his patients, and his experience in dentistry is an excellent compliment to that.
At Santorio Dental, he and his staff are committed to making sure each patient has a comfortable and pleasant experience each and every time they visit. Their mission is to give them a bright shining smile and keep their teeth in good health, and be the best dentist Pittsburgh has to offer.
Academically, Dr. Sartorio graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in May of 1985. He completed a General Practice Residency at the Dayton VA Medical Center on June 30th of 1986. The residency program provided advanced training in all disciplines of dentistry as well as rotations through Physical Medicine, General Surgery, Anesthesia and Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery and Clinics.
Furthering his education, Dr. Sartorio has completed over 200 hours of continuing education at the prestigious Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education and the Dawson Center for the Advancement of Dentistry. He has also completed an additional 400+ hours of continuing education across all disciplines of dentistry.
From July of 1986 until August of 1987, he worked as an associate in a private practice and as a part time staff member at a rural dental/medical clinic. Since August of 1987 to present, he has been in private practice in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh.
Achieving status as a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), Dr. Sartorio is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
On a more personal note, Dr. Sartorio resides in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania with his wife, Jean, and three children, Christie, Giovanna, and Anthony. He is a member of St. Bernard Parish.
