A skilled and experienced general surgeon, Dr. Marquart practices at Texas Health Huguley Surgery Center, located within Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South. He offers a full range of abdominal procedures, is enthusiastic about foregut surgeries, and has adopted the use of robotics for laparoscopic surgeries. 

With extensive training in both open and laparoscopic surgery, Dr. Marquart is equally comfortable performing either traditional or minimally invasive surgery. Before each surgery is scheduled, he takes the time to assess each patient and their individual factors to determine which surgical approach is most appropriate. 

Committed to treating patients and their loved ones with personalized and compassionate care, Dr. Marquart has a convenient office location in the Texas Health Medical Office Building and strives to offer more prompt appointments for patients in the area. Urgent cases are seen on the same day and new patients are seen within a week. 

A 2003 graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston School of Medicine, Dr. Marquart went on to perform his residency in surgery at UPMC Medical Education (Harrisburg) from 2003-2008. He then returned to the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where he completed his fellowship in pathology. 

Subsequent to his training, the doctor attained board certification in general surgery through the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

In addition to being an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Marquart is a member of the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, the Texas Medical Association, the Tarrant County Medical Society, and the American Medical Association.

General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix, and often the thyroid gland. A general surgeon performs a wide range of abdominal surgeries for many forms of intestinal and abdominal wall neoplasms, gallbladder disease, gastric and pancreatic disease.
