Get to know Dentist Dr. David Vaca, who serves patients in Longview, Texas.

With decades of experience making smiles truly shine, Dr. Vaca is a highly touted and award-winning dentist practicing alongside Dr. Chris Kirby at Vaca & Kirby Dental in Longview, Texas.

From restorative dentistry to periodontal therapy to cosmetic dentistry and more, the doctor-duo can do it all. They deliver high-quality dentistry that emphasizes health and appearance. They also use state-of-the-art technology to resolve sleep apnea problems at SLEEPwell Longview.

Deeply familiar with various areas of dentistry, Dr. Vaca travels throughout the country each year, learning world-class techniques in cosmetic and laser dentistry. He believes the future in the dental field revolves around implant and laser dentistry. His goal is to bring world-class dentistry to Longview and the East Texas area.

A native Texan, Dr. Vaca was raised in Ennis, near Dallas, before moving to the Longview area. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Texas A&M University and attended the Texas A&M College of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. He practiced general and cosmetic dentistry in Dallas for several years before joining Grogan Dental Group in 1998, later partnering with Dr. Kirby to form Vaca & Kirby Dental in 2006.

Named as a Patient Reviews Certified “Top Doctor” in Cosmetic Dentistry, he has received extensive training at the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum-Live. This exclusive program is dedicated to excellence in the art and science of cosmetic dentistry.

To advance his professional efforts, Dr. Vaca remains a member of the American Dental Association, the East Texas Dental Society, the Texas Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Sleep and Breathing Academy, Smiles for Life, The Foundation for Airway Health, Best of East Texas, and Crown Council.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

On a more personal note, Dr. Vaca enjoys hunting, fishing, watching sporting events, cooking, golfing, listening to music, and going to Bible study when he is not working. He is also a past member of the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Gregg County. He and his wife, Bethany, reside in Longview with their daughter, Elizabeth Virginia.
