Can disc hernia be healed?
Yes, with the proper treatment. That treatment is non-surgical spinal decompression. This is what I do every day. If you decide to get the procedure done make sure you do your homework. What I mean is that there are Doctors out there who say they offer non-surgical spinal decompression when it's not. They have traction tables which can make your condition worse the Proper decompression table has to have a high tower to allow for disc angle pull as your vertebrae and disc are at specific angles this is why linear pull like traction does not work. Also, the correct protocol is important for the best results. We have a high 90's percent success rate. You can go to my website to be educated about non-surgical spinal decompression can go to my website www.lehighvalleydisccenter.com. We at the Disc Centers of America use the Harvard Protocol. Can I see a chiropractor for a disc hernia?
Yes, you can. However, not all chiropractors use true non-surgical spinal decompression machines. This is not cookie-cutter treatment. Some chiropractors have traction tables calling it decompression when it is not. A true decompression table has a high tower to allow for the proper disc angle of pull. Traditional chiropractic treatment will not take care of bulging herniated and or extruded discs. True non-surgical spinal decompression however does just that. It also depends on the Doctors' protocols. I am educated and trained in the Harvard protocols whom was developed by Dr Normal Shealy a Harvard-trained Neurosurgeon who also invented the Tens unit. How long is the treatment for hip pain?
It all depends on the cause and what is involved, so you can not tell everyone what my treatment will be and you'll be better in these visits. It all depends on the patient's condition of the hip what treatments were performed prior etc. So there is no black and white so I am just honest with patients. I shoot straight from the hip when it comes to explaining to the patient what is going on with them and other potential causes of the hip pain as well as if previous treatment has complicated their condition. How should I sleep with disc hernia?
First of all you need to be treated with Non surgical spinal decompression. This is why I provide this service. There are a tremendous amount of people out there with disc herniation in the lower back and neck. We help to reduce and eliminate, herniations regardless of whether they are in the lower back or neck, or both. Once we start treatment I go over the recommendation on what to do and not do. One of those is sleeping. But you have to start with treating the disc herniation first before trying to get restful sleep. otherwise, it does not matter how you sleep if you still have the herniation. They do not go away by themselves. Once we start treatment you want to sleep on your back or side and I get more detailed on the positions and how to sleep when a person becomes a patient of mine otherwise it defeats the purpose. Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that mainly deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. A chiropractor uses spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients’ health concerns, including neck pain, back pain, headaches, vertigo and a long list of other ailments and conditions. They aim to improve patients’ functionality and quality of life by properly aligning the body’s musculoskeletal structure and enabling the body to heal itself naturally, without the use of medication or surgery.
