Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Montz is deeply invested in serving his community. For the past 13 years, he has continued to serve on the Friendswood ISD Board of Trustees, leveraging his expertise to contribute to the advancement of education. Recognized for his exemplary service, he has earned the prestigious Master Trustee honors from the Texas Association of School Boards.
Additionally, he has dedicated over a decade to the City of Friendswood Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, where he has served as both a member and Vice Chairman. He is also actively involved in supporting youth sports, having volunteered his time for over 20 years as a coach for soccer, baseball, and basketball teams.
