Is bleeding normal 2 days after implant surgery?
Thank you for asking the questions! Depending on the extends of your dental implant surgery ( for example, how many tooth / teeth is / are being removed ? Is the patient need bone grafting on the same visit where the implant is placed at the same time? How many implant(s) did you received on the day of the surgery. Were you taking any blood thinner medications? Di you follow the post-operative instructions prpperly? and etc.) It is NOT uncommon and not unsual to have a small amount of oozing, or bleeding 2 days after the implant surgery. The important things you need to do are (i) make sure you do not take any blood thinning medications two days before and two days after the surgery. Do NOT perform any exercise. DO NOT use straw to drink. DO NOT smoke. DO NOT use any mouthwash that conatins alcohol. DO NOT brush the surgical area. DO NOT spit.Other the other hands, please-DO keep the gauze in the surgical site and maintain heavy pressure, which will stop bleeding in 2-4 hours for most people. Change the gauze once every hour.-Take some calcium suppliment ( about 400mg daily), which promote bone fromation. -Do take Vitamin B complex and Vitamine C, which promote blood capilary walls formation abd healing.- Have you tried to placea wet tea bag over the surgical site and apply pressure onto it. Tea has ingredient that also helps to promote clotting. If you ahve tried all of the above methods and you still have bleeding, I would suggest that you call your dental surgeon right away and let him/her take a look at it ASAP. I hope that it will answer your quetions! God bless you! Dr. Chin READ MORE

Hi, Thank you for asking this good question! It depends on several conditions but nor limited to the following;--The medical health of an individual, How long ago has a person missing his/her teeth. Can deep cleaning damage gums?
Thank you for asking this good questions. I t is a mis-conception that deep will hurt your gum. The truth is that deep cleaning will only remove the infected part of the gum tissue. It is the infected soft tissue that is under constant bacterial assault and chronic inflamation. Once the source of irritants ( such as calcified plaque, also know as tartar ) are being removed in the process of deep cleaning, your gum will become healthy. Firm and no more bleeding. Deep cleaning can divides into two types. Non- surgical approach and surgical approach. In some adnvanced stage of gum desease, regular ( Non- surgiacl approach ) deep cleaning along will not reslove the problem. In those instance, a “surgical approach” of deep cleaning may be necessary to control and/ or stop the condition. In short, Deep cleaning will NOT damage gum. READ MORE
How soon can I get a filling after a root canal?
Hi, Thank you for Asking the important Question! As soon as you have a root canal treatment complete and the tooth has no more symptom such as pain, swelling, pus nor biting pressure. Then you should have the final filling placed. I know that some dentists will place the filling and even prepare the tooth for a crown immediately right after the root canal treatment is completed on the very same visit. This can be very risky especially if there were still, pain, pus oozing from the gum area and swelling presence. These are the contraindications to put a filling on the very same visit. Should I get an implant for a front missing tooth?
Answer: Thank you for asking this great question! As long as you have a good amount of and sounded bone, and if you DO NOT have any underlying healthy condition, such as osteoporosis, non-controllable diabetes and/ or high blood pressure, recent organ transplant surgery or active gum disease, then it is your own preference to get an implant for a front tooth. Assuming you have no any healthy conditions mentioned above, then implant is a good choice. Unlike a conventional fixed dental prosthesis ( also known as bridge), in which the patient will sacrifice a minimum of two adjacent teeth in order to have a fixed bridge to replace one missing front tooth. The advantage of have a single unit dental implant front tooth is that the adjacent teeth will be spare from being trimmed down in the preparation stage. I hope that this will be of helpful to you! Is it safe to brush your teeth if you have bleeding gums?
Hi, Thank you for asking! This is a great question. Many people stop brushing their teeth as soon as they notice that their gum bleeds. Usually, the bleeding gum is resulted from lack of proper throughrough cleaning ( i.e. flossing and brushing), where plaque accumulated under and around the gum. If you notice that that your gum keep bleeding during brushing for more than a couple of weeks, one should go to his/her dentist and check out what is the fundamental cause. Can I talk after dental implant surgery?
Hello, Thank you for asking the question! It depends on how many dental implant(s) you are going to receive and how complicated the surgery may be. Every patient response to the implant surgery somewhat differently! If you have ONE OR TWO implant(s) placement, it is not very painful. Under normal circumstance, the surgical site will be sore for a couple of days from the incision and sutures. You shall be able to talk on the same day of the implant surgery. Most of time, the over the counter pain medication such as Ibuprofen, Advil and Tylenol will be enough to control the discomfort. However, if you are going to have multiple tooth extraction, bone grafting and multiple implants placement all performed at the same visit, you will have more and longer duration of pain, which will affect your talk. Bitterness in mouth
Hello, my young friend: First of all, I would like to thank you for bringing up this question to my attention! Your mouth/ tongue feel bitter after you swallow the sperm of a thirty years old man. There are quite a number of reason why your tongue turns to bitterness. Semen made up many different chemical compounds in it. Number one reason it taste bitter is that old friend's personal hygiene issue. If he didn't keep a good body hygiene in his private area, allowing sweat to stay around that area, it will affect the taste of his semen. Other important contributing factors includes, but not limited to, consumption of alcohol, smoking, use of drugs, certain kind of food, such as Asparagus, onion, garlic. If you tongue taste bitterness after that particular encounter event, then, if you want to get rid of the bitterness on your tongue, you may try to use several of the following remedies. (i) try to use about 0.5 - 1.0 oz of Vinagar to rinse you mouth a couple times a day for few days. Or (ii) use an over-the-counter mouth wash such as Listerine to rinse your mouth twice daily. (iii) brush you tongue after you brush your teeth. (iv) chew/ eat a few small wedges of fresh lemon, allowing the lemon pulp stay in your mouth, for just about a minute and swallow the lemon pulp. The best way to not to have the bitterness on you tongue is that I would strongly suggest you NOT try to swallow anyone else's semen from now on. If ,and only if, you want to do it again, then just swallow your own semen. Why? It is because semen from other people, like blood, can carry many blood-borne pathogen such as Sexually Transmitted Disease, including, but not limited to AIDS, Hepatitis, which is in-curable in today's medical technology. Your own blood and your own semen are " relatively safe and clean. The should be no foreign germs under normal circumstance. In fact, it will be even better that you should not be engage in oral sex with anyone else. Bacteria and viruses ( for example herpes ) can also be transmit from other people into your mouth during oral sex. God has given you a male body. Your body is still growing physically, mentally and emotionally. I would highly encourage you to learn to develop a normal and healthy social relationship with opposite sex. There many good sources you can learn how to develop a healthy relationship with female friends. If possible, I would really encourage you not to continue having the abnormal sexual behavior with another old boy/ man of the same sex. You can ask for help in school counselor, a medical doctors, or a clinical phycologist. I hope that this will help you and give you some positive advise ! Blessings to you ! READ MORE
