Dr. Austin is an obstetrician-gynecologist serving patients at Capital Women’s Care, operating out of the offices in Fairfax, Manassas, and Haymarket, Virginia. She is interested in obstetrics and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including her experience with operating the da Vinci Robotic System.
With three convenient locations in Northern Virginia, Capital Women’s Care is the largest and most successful OB/GYN practice in the mid-Atlantic region. It encompasses dedicated board-certified doctors and providers who believe in providing patients with exceptional, personalized quality care in a trusting and safe environment where patients can feel understood and prioritized. Born and raised in Connecticut, Dr. Austin received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut. After graduation, she worked at a biotechnology firm, conducting research on a noninvasive test for Down syndrome before attending medical school.
Graduating with her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 2013, she underwent her residency training at Lehigh Valley Health Network.
A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.
After moving to Northern Virginia to escape the cold winters and be closer to family, Dr. Austin served as chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology department at Reston Hospital Center for a whole year in 2021.
