After evaluating an elderly patient & seeing the patient had cataracts & glaucoma, he should have referred the patient given he, as doctor, was able to determine whether the cataracts were severe enough. Coleman pressed that the patient have glasses made, even though Dave told him that we wanted to wait. The patient had a hard time seeing with the new glasses. It was at this time Coleman referred the patient to an ophthalmologist who stated the patient should've had cataract surgery 7 yrs ago.
