Dr. Gary Bernardini served as Director of Stroke and Neurocritical Care at Albany Medical Center then as Chairman of Neurology at New York-Presbyterian Queens and Vice-Chair, Department of Neurology at Weill Cornell Medical Center. He recently joined the Yale Department of Neurology as Chief of Neurology and Director of Stroke Services at Bridgeport Hospital and clinical neurologist at Greenwich Hospital. Dr. Bernardini has published more than 60 peer-reviewed articles in stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral hemorrhage, and carotid disease. He has authored multiple book chapters including those in Merritt's Texbook of Neurology. Dr. Bernardini has been PI or Co-PI in major clinical trials regarding stroke treatment. He has also trained fellows and residents throughout his career.
