Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Cheau Williams, who serves patients in Moultrie, Georgia. 

Dr. Williams is a board-certified gynecologist and a fellowship-trained urogynecologist in practice with Sterling Group Urogynecology & Pelvic Surgery in Moultrie, Georgia. He is skilled in pelvic floor surgery and robotic surgery. He also has a special interest in treating urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, pelvic floor disorders, and painful bladder syndrome. 

Sterling Group Urogynecology & Pelvic Surgery is dedicated to providing exceptional, personalized health care for patients. The team of professionals working there focus on the prevention of illnesses through wellness care, as well as treating chronic disorders that may arise. A 2005 graduate of the Ross University School of Medicine, Dr. Williams went on to complete his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. This was followed by a fellowship in pelvic medicine & reconstructive surgery/urogynecology at the Wayne State School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan.

Following his training, the doctor became board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada. 

With a passion for his profession, Dr. Williams is also specially trained in female vaginal rejuvenation and female genital cosmetic surgery. He has special training in radio-frequency vaginal rejuvenation that has improved thousands of women with lichen sclerosis, urinary incontinence, vaginal laxity, dyspareunia, mild pelvic organ prolapse, and countless vulvovaginal disorders. 

Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society, the International Urogynecologic Society, the International Continence Society, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons, and the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease. What’s more, he is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts). An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health.
