Her passion lies in combining life coaching and practicing medicine to improve the health of all those around her through a system of support and accountability. Dr. Kumar has two children- ages 12 and 15, and loves to travel and spend time with them in her spare time.
In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Kumar is an active member of the Texas Medical Association where she is aiding in improving the lives of physicians. She is also a volunteer faculty member at the local school of medicine where she teaches clinical skills. And lastly, she is the VP of development of a local non profit (The Patient Institute) where she has been instrumental in developing a formal mentorship program for medical students, in order to forge a sustainable career in medicine, despite the challenges we currently face in healthcare.

- I attribute my success to being down to earth and keeping myself grounded. The more I listen and learn from my patients and students, the more we build trust and rapport and the better life and health outcomes they achieve.
