Get to know Family Physician Dr. Rahul Kapur, who serves patients in Kansas City, Missouri.

A primary care provider specializing in family and hospital medicine, Dr. Kapur is the Founder of KC Care Concierge Medical Practice in Kansas City, Missouri, and has been on the medical staff of Gates Hospitalists, LLC since 2012. He practices integrative medicine and has a patient-centered approach focused on patients’ whole health – body, mind, and spirit.

“I will never know your body as well as you do. My job is to help you discover and maintain a connection with your physical and mental self” expressed the doctor. 

His compassionate approach to patient care and experience in concierge medicine allows him to spend quality time with patients, helping them feel heard and truly seen. His favorite aspect of his work is educating patients so they can better care for their health and wellness, whether they have a routine illness or deal with a chronic condition.

An interest in biology, the human body and personal health led Dr. Kapur into medicine. He graduated with his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in India before relocating to the United States, where he completed his internship and residency in family medicine at Wesley Medical Center. The privilege and honor of patients allowing him in on their life stories over the years has made him realize caring for patients is his calling.

In pursuit of clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

When he is not working, Dr. Kapur enjoys spending time with his children, reading, and working out.
