In regards to his education, he graduated with his medical degree from the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and is licensed to practice in New Jersey. Additionally, in 2011 he gained Meaningful Use Stage 1 Certification by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. 

To stay up to date in his field, he remains a professional member of the American Osteopathic Association.
