Dr. McAfee, a licensed chiropractor, opened the doors to McAfee Chiropractic in Weatherford, Texas in 2011. In a very short amount of time, he has established an incredible reputation founded on exceptional results, loyal relationships with patients, and integrity.
Specializing in chiropractic wellness, car injuries, concussions, and sports rehabilitation, Dr. McAfee has extensive experience working with athletes who have been injured or received a concussion. He also focuses on rehabilitation and recovery time with car injuries, as well as spinal decompression for many patients with lower back pain, neck pain, herniated disc, auto accident injury, sports injuries, and sciatica.
Growing up in Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. McAfee attended high school at the prestigious Fort Worth Southwest Christian. He was a stand out two-sport athlete accumulating multiple honors and school records that still stand to this day. Some of those honors include two-time All-State recipient in both baseball and football.
After high school, he decided to continue his athletic career at Harding University in Arkansas. While playing baseball on scholarship for Harding, Dr. McAfee injured his lower back. Doctors told him he could no longer work out, but more importantly, that his athletic career was in jeopardy. After multiple failed medical procedures and countless prescriptions with no relief, he was starting to lose hope. While home on Christmas break, he visited his friend’s chiropractor. After a couple weeks of treatment, the chiropractor was able to completely restore normal function in his lower back and more importantly, help him understand true healing.
It was this interaction that changed the course of Dr. McAfee’s life. He decided that he wanted to become a chiropractor, earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker College of Chiropractic in 2010, so that he could help people achieve health naturally, without the use of drugs and surgery.
In addition to seeing patients at McAfee Chiropractic, Dr. McAfee is a head coach for a very reputable consulting company for chiropractors. He travels the United States monthly, teaching other chiropractors how to better communicate and serve their communities more effectively.
Highly involved in the community, he and his family are active members at North Side Baptist Church. He is a proud member and past President of Weatherford Noon Lions Club.
Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that mainly deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. A chiropractor uses spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients’ health concerns, including neck pain, back pain, headaches, vertigo and a long list of other ailments and conditions. They aim to improve patients’ functionality and quality of life by properly aligning the body’s musculoskeletal structure and enabling the body to heal itself naturally, without the use of medication or surgery.
When Dr. McAfee is not practicing or educating chiropractors, he can be found on his 150-acre Ranch in Weatherford with his beautiful wife, Trisha, and their two young boys living, laughing, and serving.
