Dr. Altahir, a child and adolescent psychiatrist, is the Medical Director of Altahir Behavioral Health with offices in Stafford and Falls Church, Virginia.

Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Altahir graduated with his medical degree from the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad in Iraq. After adult psychiatry training at Virginia Commonwealth University, he completed his fellowship studies in child and adolescent psychiatry at Penn State Milton S Hershey Medical Center in 2005.
