Get to know General Dentist Dr. Kunal Walia, who serves patients in Puyallup, Washington. 

Specializing in general dentistry with a specific interest in implants and orthodontics, Dr. Walia is the Owner of South Hill Dental in Puyallup, Washington. 

Since 1984, South Hill Dental has been the leader and preferred provider of quality dental services to patients in Puyallup and the surrounding areas. The experienced dentists and staff working there offer comprehensive dental examinations and specialize in a wide array of cosmetic, preventative, general, and specialized dental services. In their mission to provide the best dental services possible, they use only the most advanced, state-of-the-art technology available. 

In 2007, Dr. Walia earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in Seattle. With a keen interest in implant dentistry and Invisalign, he has taken many classes on these subjects. 

In order to stay up to date in his field, he remains a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Pierce County Dental Society. He is also a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.  

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. General dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kunal enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, giving back to the local community, traveling, and playing USTA tennis.
