Get to know Dentist Dr. Michael S. Dugan, who serves patients in Rutherford, New Jersey.

Dr. Dugan has been practicing in Rutherford, New Jersey for over twenty years, the town he grew up in. He is the Founder of Meadowlands Dental Association.

Proficient in all phases of dentistry, he is especially concerned with patient comfort and relaxation. Patients have excellent things to say about him, one stating “Dr. Dugan is the best! The longest I have waited to see him is 10 minutes. I have never had an issue with any of the work he has done on my teeth. When I have called to schedule an emergency appointment, the receptionist always scheduled me right away on the same day. Dr. Dugan’s assistant and office staff are very pleasant. Back in 1982, Dr. Dugan graduated with his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from  Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dental Medicine. A year later, in 1983, he completed a General Practice Residency at Jersey City Medical Center, after which he embarked on his professional journey.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
