Additionally, Dr. King is board certified in surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, nonprofit organization founded in 1937 to provide board certification to individuals who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge in the field of surgery. To stay up to date in his field, he remains a professional member of the American College of Surgeons, Virginia Surgical Society, and Priestly Society.
