Get to know Surgeon Bradford L. King, who serves patients in Fredericksburg, Virginia. 

Dr. King is a surgeon serving Fredericksburg and the surrounding communities. He is affiliated with Surgical Associates of Fredericksburg, a practice that has been providing quality care in the community for over 30 years, their goal is to provide their patients with the highest quality of surgical care with courtesy, compassion, and attention to their individual needs. 

In regards to his education, Dr. King graduated with his undergraduate degree from Baylor University. He then earned his Medical Degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1994. He went on to complete a residency with the Mayo Clinic in 2001. 

Additionally, Dr. King is board certified in surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, nonprofit organization founded in 1937 to provide board certification to individuals who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge in the field of surgery. To stay up to date in his field, he remains a professional member of the American College of Surgeons, Virginia Surgical Society, and Priestly Society. 

Surgery is a medical specialty that uses operative manual and instrumental techniques on a patient to investigate or treat a pathological condition such as a disease or injury, to help improve bodily function or appearance or to repair unwanted ruptured areas. As a surgeon, Dr. King specializes in laparoscopic and open surgery of the stomach, small intestine, colon, thyroid, and parathyroid surgery, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, laparoscopic hernia repair, vascular surgery, and varicose vein ablation procedures.

With over 25 years of experience in the field, Dr. King has treated thousands of patients.
