He then went on to complete his internship in internal medicine at Shands Hospital, followed by his residency in dermatology and his fellowship in dermatopathology at the University of Chicago. Dr. Wasserman has particular interest and expertise in skin pathology and dermatologic surgery. He has published multiple articles on pathology and general dermatology in peer-reviewed medical journals. He has also written a book chapter on infectious disease.
Dr. Wasserman is a member of the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Wasserman is board-certified in dermatology and dermatopathology by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). The ABD, located in Newton, MA, certifies physicians in dermatology, dermatopathology, and pediatric dermatology.
