  • Can you suggest some medication for treating my shoulder pain?

You would do best by avoiding NSAIDS like Ibuprofen, and Acetamenophen. These are not good to treat chronic, long-term pain. They can damage you organs. You could try homeopathic remedies like Arnica Montana. There are also some very effective creams like Real Time Pain Relief, or Deep Blue Essential Oil. The best treatment is to find the cause of the pain. A good chiropractor can help you determine if your pain is due to nerve irritation, poor posture, poor muscle balance or shoulders that need to be adjusted. READ MORE

  • I have pain in my hips due to excess weight. What can I do?

You are probably correct about the weight gain causing hip pain. The excess weight can also change the arches of the feet, making them flat, which will in turn cause knee or hip problems or both. The change in your center of gravity will also put new stresses on your lower back, causing subluxation and nerve irritation, which can also manifest as hip pain. Besides losing weight, have your chiropractor check your feet as well as your back. READ MORE

  • I have pain in my back everytime I put on weight. Why does this happen?

It could be that the increased weight shifts your center of gravity forward placing greater stress on your low back. There is also a condition called spondylolisthesis that will cause a narrowing of the spinal canal and a pinching of the spinal cord. The increased weight can aggravate this condition. Both of these conditions can be treated without surgery or drugs through chiropractic. READ MORE

  • Is there a way to treat back pain arising due to long sitting hours?

There are several causes of low back pain and a chiropractic exam could determine what the best treatment course would be. Until you can get help, it might be advisable for you to work at a standing desk. Since you did not mention any leg pain, it is not likely that you have a herniated disk, although that would have to be ruled out. I would like to know if you are eventually able to stand up straight or does this prevent you from straightening at all. You might get some relief by lying on the floor with your feet in the seat of a chair or couch keeping the hips and knees bent at 90 degrees and just relaxing. While there are things that might decrease the pain, it is important to find out exactly what is going on and that would take having a thorough examination. READ MORE

  • How can i reduce my pain due to ankle sprain?

The typical ankle sprain is an inversion sprain where the foot rolls inward. If a fracture has been ruled out, usually by having X-rays done of the foot and ankle, then an ankle adjustment could help reposition the misaligned bone and restore the proper motion to the joints of the foot. Taping or a walking boot may also help. READ MORE

  • Why do I have a sharp knee pain?

It sounds like you might have "runners knee", this is a broad term that covers many causes. Treatments could include chiropractic adjustments of the knee, custom insoles or foot orthotics, exercises to balance the leg muscles, adjustment of the low back and sacrum to improve nerve function to the legs and Kinesio tape. • Is it bad to suddenly stop chiropractic care?

It probably won't have an immediate negative effect, but you might ask the same question about brushing your teeth. By the time untreated spinal issues become symptomatic there can be a lot of deterioration before you feel any pain. This is similar to cavity formation and that is why we recommend regular dental visits and regular chiropractic. I am sorry about the current state of health insurance. It is causing people to have to make bad choices about their health care. That is why I offer a very affordable wellness care program for my patients who want to maintain their correction. READ MORE

  • My mother has developed a problem of shaking hands. What could be the reason behind it?

The two most common causes are benign essential tremor and Parkinson's Disease. Parkinson's tremor often manifests with the classic "pill rolling tremor". It looks as if one is constantly rolling a pill around in between the fingers. There are other possible causes like medication, but you should have her examined soon. If it is Parkinson's the soon she gets treatment the better. READ MORE

  • My father is suffering from severe back pain. Can it be treated with manual adjustment of the spine?

He would need an exam including a history of his complaint and X-rays to determine if chiropractic is the best choice. If fracture or tumor is not the cause, a combination of chiropractic and exercise has been proven to be the most effective, quickest, least expensive treatment method and it enjoys a reputation of having the highest patient satisfaction.
