After graduating summa cum laude from Yale University in 1991, Dr. D went on to graduate from the New York Grossman University School of Medicine in 1995. He subsequently did his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Hospital for Joint Diseases before completing his adult reconstructive (total joint) fellowship at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in 2018. He also served 8 years with the United States Air Force, being stationed at McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey & Langley Air Force Base in Virginia.
With over two decades of experience, the doctor is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and orthopaedic sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.
