Pertaining to his educational pursuits, he received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, where he graduated with honors and was elected to the AOA Medical Honors Society. He completed his undergraduate studies at Princeton University before furthering his medical training at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, where he served as Academic Chief Resident during his residency. His specialized fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee was completed at the prestigious University of California San Francisco.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Gray holds the position of Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He actively participates in leadership roles within several prominent national organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, contributing to advancements in the field of orthopedic surgery.
