  • Do you have to take your clothes off for chiropractor?

    Some chiropractic providers request that their patients wear gowns for spinal assessment and adjustments. In school, we perform chiropractic examinations and adjustments with our patients in gowns. It helps the clinician to examine the spine while allowing for direct contact on the patient’s skin for the adjustment. In my practice, I do not require the incorporation of gowns for examination and adjustments. I have over a decade of experience and no longer find it necessary to gown patients. In my office, I do not require any form of disrobing or the taking off of clothes with the exception of jackets or bulky sweaters if an under shirt is present. From a clinical standpoint, I’m able to perform the examination and adjustment in the attire the patient had arrived in. READ MORE
